Meet the Executive: Jeffrey Norwig

This is part of a series of profiles of the people who serve on the executive board of the CAGP Saskatchewan South Chapter. This month, meet Jeffrey Norwig, Education Co-Chair.




Jeffrey was born and raised in Wolseley, Saskatchewan growing up on a farm nearby. In 1998, he attended the University of Regina and obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus in marketing and finance. In 2002, he attended the University of Saskatchewan to obtain his law degree. In 2005, Jeffrey articled in Swift Current for a year before returning to Regina to continue his practice. In 2007, Jeffrey joined the firm of McDougall Gauley whereby he continues to practice with the firm. In 2019, Jeffrey became a partner with the firm.


Jeffrey has been happily married to his wife, Marie, for the past 16 years. He enjoys spending time travelling with Marie, golfing and taking care of his 13 year old miniature dachschund, Molly.


Jeffrey’s areas of practice are estate planning and estate administration, real estate and corporate/commercial work.


Jeffrey is currently a member of the South Saskatchewan Chapter of the CAGP and is currently serving on the board as part of the Education Committee. With his practice in the area of estate planning and estate administration, CAGP has been beneficial to him in his role as an advisor to clients. It has allowed him to stay up to date on the changing landscape of gift planning. The organization has also allowed Jeffrey to ensure his clients receive the proper advice and to make sure their estate planning allows them to achieve their gift planning goals.


Jeffrey enjoys being able to see his clients set up their plan to allow them to give back to the charitable organizations near and dear to their hearts. Jeffrey recognizes that charities play an important role in society and being able to assist both the clients and the charities is a wonderful reward.
